Intimate Toronto City Hall Wedding

Emma and Kevin’s Toronto City Hall Wedding was so awesome to be a part of. It was a special day filled with memorable moments with their closest family and friends. And while people flew in from all over the world including Ireland and the UK, they still managed to keep it small and intimate just the way they wanted.

I’m always a huge supporter and advocate for my couples when it comes to doing things their own way and this Toronto City Hall Wedding was no exception. Your wedding day doesn’t always have to be glitz and glamour with all the bells and whistles. That’s the beauty of a day like this, no fuss, lots of regular moments made special because of the occasion.

There are a ton of benefits when it comes to having a smaller intimate wedding:

  1. Quality Time – I see this a lot with bigger weddings and many couples don’t get the chance to spend time with all of their guests. And you’ve probably experienced it yourself attending a wedding and probably not getting past the “Congrats” and “Let’s take a picture together” conversation. If you spent so much time and effort creating this beautiful day, why not take the time to absorb the magic of the world you dreamt up.
  2. Save Money – This is a no brainer! With less people attending you have more budget to allocate to other things. You can now splurge on fancy food and drinks, or use that budget towards your dream photographer. Maybe you wanted to go all out on the décor and florals or go on a longer honeymoon. This is your chance to do that!
  3. Unique Venues – As your guest list starts to shrink, you’ll find that there are more venues to choose from. And this is great if you want something unique and special. Maybe you’ve always wanted your reception at your favourite restaurant, at a destination, or in a barn – sky’s the limit. And if you haven’t already, feel free to check out any one of my guides on wedding venues.

Finally, a smaller wedding is perfect if you want a celebration that might not follow all the stereotypes and traditions of a wedding. Like Emma and Kevin’s Toronto City Hall Wedding, you can make the day centered around just the two of you!
